LaCenia Cheek is the Director of Barefoot & Bev Sales Innovation. Her role involves challenging traditional wine marketing thinking and finding innovative ways to build and grow brands. She strongly believes in the power of mentorship and empowering others to show what is possible. LaCenia started her career with Gallo over a decade ago as a Brand Specialist with Barefoot in 2009. She then became a Barefoot Area Manager, effectively managing a team across four states. After gaining experience in Human Resources as the National College Recruiting Manager, she rejoined the Barefoot Sales team as an Area Manager for a 22-state region in 2014. LaCenia continued to advance within the organization, becoming the Barefoot Sales Innovation Senior Manager in 2018 and was subsequently promoted to Director.

LaCenia holds a bachelor’s degree in International Business from the University of North Carolina. She has also obtained her Certified Specialist of Spirits certification. In addition to her professional achievements, LaCenia has been involved in leadership roles within the Gallo African American Network and currently serves on the D&I Council at Gallo. She is an active member of her community and currently coaches her 4-year-old’s soccer team. Balancing multiple roles is important to LaCenia as she strives to show up for her work, community, and most importantly, her family.
