Virginia Programming

Virginia Programming

The Veraison Project started in Virginia and organically began a strategic partnership with Oenoverse focused on increasing diversity, equity, and inclusion within the Virginia wine industry. We collaborate to provide educational and professional opportunities to underrepresented communities as well as hosting celebratory events that highlight the community. Together we co-host Oeno Camp and Two Up Wine Down festival.

Oeno Camp

Oeno Camp is a three-day Virginia Wine Immersion Program presented in partnership with Oenoverse and The Veraison Project, designed to further education, create opportunity, and build meaningful connections within the wine industry. Through a competitive application process, ten national grantees are selected to experience the best of Virginia wine country while receiving hands-on education. The program advances diversity and inclusion by engaging historically underrepresented consumers and enthusiasts, generates national media exposure for Virginia wine, and supports long-term industry growth by cultivating informed ambassadors who champion Virginia wine on a global stage.

TUWD

“Two Up Wine Down” (TUWD) is a vibrant, community-focused annual wine festival in Charlottesville, Virginia, celebrating diverse Virginia wines, BIPOC winemakers, and inclusivity through tastings, music, and storytelling, originating from Oeno Camp’s mission to connect emerging wine professionals with the local community. It’s known for its unique vibe, spotlighting curators sharing wines, fostering connection, and supporting local wine culture, with proceeds often benefiting Oeno Camp.
