Future Leaders Program

Education. Access. Community. A year that shapes what’s next.

The Veraison Project Future Leaders Program is a year-long, immersive leadership and education experience designed for emerging professionals who are serious about building a future in the wine and beverage industry.

Rooted in wine education, mentorship, and real-world connection, the program supports a small cohort of Future Leaders each year through structured learning, hands-on experiences, and access to industry voices who are shaping what’s next.

At its core, the program blends education and community. Participants receive support toward recognized wine and spirits certifications, take part in quarterly guest speaker sessions with industry leaders, and engage in collaborative study sessions designed to deepen knowledge, build confidence, and learn through teaching alongside peers and alumni.

Beyond formal education, Future Leaders are integrated into the Veraison Project ecosystem and supported in attending our three signature in-person events
These gatherings provide meaningful opportunities to build relationships, gain visibility, and experience the industry from the inside, alongside mentors, alumni, and partners.

The program culminates in an international immersion trip to Portugal (planned for the week of May 23, 2027), connecting classroom learning to place, producers, and regions. Future Leaders will be introduced to the wineries and regions in advance, ensuring the experience is both educational and intentional.

More than a professional development program, Future Leaders is a community built on inclusion, curiosity, and mutual support. Participants are encouraged to show up fully as learners, leaders, and collaborators, while being celebrated and amplified throughout the year through features, spotlights, and shared storytelling.

If you’re committed to growth, eager to learn, and excited to contribute to the future of the beverage industry, the Veraison Project Future Leaders Program is designed for you.

Applications close February 3rd
Announcement date is February 24th.
