Director of Culinary

Courtney is currently an Apprentice in Sonoma, California with Silver Oak & Twomey Cellars. She spent 10 years building her culinary career throughout Fort Worth, Tx becoming Garde Manger in 2018 withTrinity Food & Beverage. Courtney left catering to pursue Private Chef services creating The Chef Initiative in 2020. Utilizing her previous server and hospitality experience it was an easy move. It was at this moment in preparing menus for private dinner parties that the knowledge of wine was missing in the pursuit of a complete dining experience.

Courtney applied for the Silver Oak Apprenticeship and has since immersed herself in the wine culture. Having completed her WSET Level 1 she is set to pursue WSET level 2 in 2023. After the Apprenticeship, Courtney will continue her wine journey through wine making production. Courtney is a wine scholar with Wine Unify, The Veraison project, The Batonnage Forum and a member of Women of The Vine and Spirits.
